2 Transportations between Shaolin Temple, Song Mountain and Zhengzhou, Luoyang
Luoyang -Shaolin Temple, Song Mountain
Luoyang to Shaolin Temple, Song Mountain
Take the tourist line bus from the Luoyang coach Station to Shaolin Temple. The Coach Station is located in the center of Luoyang downtown, facing the Luoyang Railway Station across a road. Or you can take the Bus Luoyang to Xuchang(许昌) and get off in the front of Shaolin Temple, which takes CNY 17 and two hours.
Back to Luoyang
Take the bus at the Shaolin Temple Parking lot, the latest bus will arrive at Shaolin Temple Parking lot around 18:30. Or you can take bus or taxi to Dengfeng Distance Bus Terminal, and then take bus to Luoyang.

Take the bus from Zhengzhou Coach Station(facing Zhengzhou Railway Station) to Dengfeng Distance Bus Terminal and get off at the final stop of Dengfeng Old Distance Bus Terminal, and take Bus No.8 to Shaolin Temple. Caution: Some so called tourist buses near the Zhengzhou Railway Station say they will arrive at Shaolin Temple directly, however, they will transfer you to many so called attractions before arrive Shaolin Temple. So, buy the coach Ticket of Zhengzhou to Dengfeng from the coach station ticket window.

7. More to Go
Admission Fee of Shaolin Temple
CNY 100, including Wushu performance in Wushu hall, Shaolin Temple, Forest of Pagoda, Three Emperor Fort. It is enough to tour Shaolin Temple and Forest of Pagoda in a half day. However, since you have the Three Emperor Fort to tour, you'd better to take the cable car, or you have to stay one night in Dengfeng City. Shaolin Temple Scenic spot has the battery car, a single way costs CNY 5 per person. Two cable ways, the smaller one comes to the Chuzu nunnery(round ticket: CNY20 per person); the bigger one comes to the Three Emperor Fort(round ticket: CNY60 per person).
One practical touring route is climbing the Three Emperor Fort first(2-3 hours), then take cable way to Shaolin Temple scenic spot and enjoy all of the attractions. You can take Bus 3 (CNY 1)from Dengfeng Distance Bus Terminal to the Bus terminal, then take a minibus to Three Emperor Fort (about CNY 30 per car). Meanwhile, you take buy some water or food near the bus terminal, for the water and food on the peak are commonly expensive.
