Information of China Mountain Huashan

Mount Hua (Hua Shan or Huashan Mountain) is located in Huayin City, 120 kilometers (about 75 miles) east from Xi'an City of Shaanxi Province. As one of the five sacred mountains in China(alongside Mt. Taishan in Shandong province, Mt. Hengshan in Hunan province, Mt. Hengshan in Shanxi, and Mt. Songshan in Henan), Mt. Huashan is known as 'The Number One Precipitous Mountain under Heaven'. In  ancient China, Mount Huashan was called Mount Taihuashan, for the five peaks formed a shape of 'flower' (hua in Chinese), hence the name'Huashan'.

2.Ways to Tour Mountain Huashan

I do suggest your China tour contains Mountain Huashan and Xian city, for the short distances between them, and the convenient transportations. On the other hand, Xian will give you more in the profound history and culture of China. The advised tourist line is: Taking City Bus U5 (306) from the east square of the railway station to the east skirt of Xian City, the first tourist spot is the Banpo Museum which built on the ancient human village relics of Neolithic Yangshao culture. Then follows the Terracotta Warriors museum.  The Huaqing Hot Springs locate at the north foot of Mt. Lishan. Furthermore, came the Mountain Huashan.

3.Transportations between Mountain Huashan and Xian City

Xian-Huashan Mountain:

1. Take the Xian-Zhengzhou bullet trains from Xian North Railway Station and get off at Huashan Bei (Huashan North) Station. Outside the Huashan Bei Station, there are many green special minibuses directly to the mountain Huashan. The Fae is CNY10 per person. Or you can walk north in several hundred meters until a crossroad, there is a stop of Bus 603 “县城至罗夫”, which could take you to Mountain Huashan, the price is only CNY 2, or you can take a taxi, which costs about CNY 15 in 15-20 minutes.

2. Take Tourism Bus Line 1 at Xian Railway Station and arrive at Huashan Mountain. It leaves from Xian Railway Station at 08:00. The ticket costs CNY 22 and the bus trip takes about 3 hours. It is suspended from January to March.

3. Visitors can go to Xian Cheng Dong Coach Station and take the regular bus from Xian to Huayin (Mt. Huashan). The bus runs every 15 minutes between 07:00 and 19:15. The bus ticket cost CNY 31.5 and the bus trip takes about 2 hours.

Huashan Mountain-Xian:
1. Take the regular bus which starts from Xishan Gate (the middle section of Yuquan Rd.) to Xian Railway Station from 07:00 to 22:00. The bus ticket costs CNY 31.5.

2. Take the Tourism bus line 1 which starts from Dongshanmen Parking Lot to Xian Railway Station at at 17:00. The bus ticket costs CNY 22. It is suspended from January to March.

3. Take a taxi from Dongshanmen Parking Lot to Huashan Bei Train Station, about CNY25. Then take bullet train back to Xian.

4.Food of Mountain Huashan
There are many stalls of food, and restaurants both at the foot and on the peak of Mountain Huashan. However, compared with the restaurants at the foot of Mountain Huashan, the price of the food and water on the peak are much higher,for all of the food and water are carried by worker from foot to peak. The typical dishes of Mountain Huashan are the Dadao Noodles, double cooked pork slices,maoxuewang(duck blood cake),Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup, Steamed fish head with chopped hot chili etc.
